The counter tops are in!

Well, woohoo praise the Lord and pass the ammunition, the counter tops are in!  I am so thankful that we are one step closer to completion.  The flooring should be here on Monday and then we can start working on that.  We still have trim and a window to complete.  My friend Teri-the-interior-decorator said Kirk can go to work with her!  He came up with the idea to have Black Pearl on the island and New Venetian Gold on the main work areas.  I helped by narrowing it down to the two cheapest!  I love how it turned out!  I originally thought I wanted the Black Pearl everywhere, but decorator-Kirk had other plans.  It still cracks me up that he can visualize these things!  I guess he does have to be creative in his job, but it’s still kind of funny!

Oh, and today I took my horse to Colonel’s for the first time since “taking a break”.  It was so much fun to jump her again and despite the wind she did really well!  She has such a big heart and I can’t help but love and hate her craziness all at the same time.  There is just something about flying over a jump on the back of a horse!  I’ve resolved to go once a week for a while and that’s all I know for now.

Well, enjoy the pictures.  Kirk has a new employee.  She’s pretty cheap labor and cute too!

Dally checking out the progress.

  2. Elisabeth, it looks so nice! I bet you can’t wait to cook dinner now, eh? So is remodeling a lot of fun or mostly hassle?
